• JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Provides treatment based upon established plan of care for patients with wounds, fistulas, percutaneous tubes, ostomies, incontinence, and actual or potential skin breakdown. Serves as a resource and consultant to patients and nursing staff. Performs assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care provided. Collaborates with WOCN to implement changes in the plan of care.

• DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Samaritan Wound Care treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow and/or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound, ostomy and continence care while maintaining additional adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.

• EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required. BSN preferred. Related certification in Wound Care preferred.
