Wound Care Physician Responsibilities

Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
Wound Care Physician Salary & Compensation
Average Annual Earnings: $250,000–500,000 (no earning cap as an independent contractor)
High Achievers: Top performers earn $500,000+ through performance bonuses
Pay Structure: Per-patient and per-procedure pay, plus quarterly bonus programs
Wound Care Physician Schedule
We offer consistent weekday schedules with no nights or weekends, in part-time or full-time options:
Part-Time: 2–3 days per week Full-Time: 4–5 days per week
Wound Care Physician Requirements
Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
Open Background: We welcome physicians from all specialties. Completed residency and board certification/eligibility are not required. No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training
