Responsibilities: -
- Perform engine room operational watchkeeping and carry out required maintenance and repairs of all equipment onboard.
- Work and act according to the defined policies and procedures of the Company/Technical Department.
- Provide a high degree of technical knowledge and expertise for all repair aspects of the support craft.
- Identify spare parts and order spare parts from the parts manual required for carrying out the entrusted job.
- Troubleshoot, identify faults, and rectify them using technical knowledge and experience.
- Manage offshore repairs to ensure no stoppage in vessel operations.
- Establish and maintain a preventive maintenance program for marine engines and other equipment.
- Test engines and equipment to determine the need for repairs or adjustments.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic equipment and valves.
- Report to the Chief Engineer or Foreman on work completed and any issues encountered.
- Work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Submit reports regarding the work completed.
- Execute basic and emergency repairs onboard.
- Comply with HSE requirements on board the vessel.
Qualification: -
- Valid and updated CoC as Engine Rating on Engine Room Watch.
- Valid and updated STCW Certificates.
