Workshop Foreman

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the workshop team.
• Plan and prioritize daily production.
• Work hands-on across signage and joinery projects.
• Read technical drawings, specifications and job sheets.
• Operate workshop machinery and equipment.
• Maintain quality and production standards.
• Resolve production issues and answer technical queries.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Help develop and support workshop team members.

Requirements

• People-management or supervisory experience, workload planning, deadline management and problem solving are sought.
• Candidates should be organized, practical and confident taking responsibility for a busy team.
• Relevant experience may come from workshops, manufacturing, construction, retail, hospitality or another management environment.
• Signage, joinery, shopfitting, furniture manufacturing or fabrication experience is advantageous, not essential.

Workplace and schedule

• The role is based at the employer's Glasgow factory.
• Full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday.
• A relocation package may be available for the right candidate.

Compensation

• Salary depends on experience.
