The work involves inspection and verification in the onshore and offshore oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify welding, process piping, mechanical equipment, hydrotesting, and advanced NDT activities.
- Assess NDT procedures and review and approve multidisciplinary ITPs, procedures, site queries, NCRs, and concession requests.
- Prepare technical reports, procedures, and QA/QC documentation and liaise with EPC contractors.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Welding, or Metallurgical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of relevant industry experience, including third-party inspection and verification.
- Experience with inspection of welding, process piping, mechanical equipment, hydrotesting, and advanced NDT methods.
- Ability to assess NDT procedures and review and approve ITPs, procedures, site queries, NCRs, and concession requests.
- Very good spoken and written English, including technical writing.
- Proven experience liaising with EPC contractors; computer literacy and familiarity with ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO, and BS codes.
Desirable qualifications
- CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI and PCN Level II qualification is desirable, or ASNT Level 2.
