Role overview
Plans, designs, and oversees welding and joining of large, thick metal structures and pressure vessels using advanced welding processes.
Key responsibilities
- Select suitable welding methods, such as TIG, MIG, or stick welding, for heavy steel plates and structural beams.
- Follow industrial standards such as ASME, API, or PED.
- Check welds using non-destructive testing methods, including ultrasonic or radiographic testing.
- Guide welders and fitters on the shop floor to meet production goals safely and on time.
Compensation
- Pay is ₹30,000–₹40,000 per month.
Work location
- Work location is in person.
Requirements
- Knowledge of welding processes used for heavy steel plates and structural beams, such as TIG, MIG, or stick welding.
- Ability to follow applicable industrial standards such as ASME, API, or PED.
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods, including ultrasonic or radiographic testing.
