- Precisely interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute welding projects according to specifications.
- Skillfully join metal parts using various welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, Stick, and Flux-cored arc welding.
- Conduct thorough inspections of welds to ensure structural integrity, detect defects, and verify compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting to create optimal conditions for strong and clean welds.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, including power sources, welding guns, and safety gear, ensuring peak performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty welds or damaged metal components, demonstrating problem-solving prowess.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding machinery and tools, extending their lifespan and ensuring operational readiness.
- Document welding activities, material usage, and inspection results accurately for quality control and record-keeping purposes.
