Role & responsibilities
Perform GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (ARC) welding in 6G position and various other welding positions as per job requirement.
Weld small-bore piping, pressure parts, and critical joints with high accuracy and minimal distortion.
Interpret and follow approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), PQR, and weld maps.
Ensure weld quality meets ASME, API, and client specification standards.
Conduct self-inspection and coordinate with QC for weld visual and NDT clearance.
Maintain welding equipment, consumables, and tools in proper working condition.
Follow company safety policies, permit-to-work procedures, and PPE requirements at all times.
Participate in weld test qualifications and periodic performance revalidation as required.
Support fabrication and erection teams during workshop and site operations.
