Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, or combination) to join metal components according to specifications and blueprints
Inspect welds for quality, alignment, and adherence to engineering standards before parts move to next production stage
Prepare metal surfaces through grinding, cleaning, and degreasing to ensure proper weld integrity
Maintain welding equipment and notify maintenance of any malfunctions or needed repairs
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications accurately
Work with pressing operations to coordinate seamless part assembly and material flow
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work station; follow all safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures
Meet production quotas and quality standards while working independently during 3rd shift
Communicate clearly with shift supervisors and team members regarding production status and issues
Support continuous improvement by identifying process inefficiencies and quality concerns

2+ years of hands-on welding experience in a production or fabrication environment
Proficiency with MIG welding; experience with TIG or Stick welding is a plus
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
Strong understanding of welding safety standards and metallurgy basics
Experience with metal fabrication processes and press operations preferred
Ability to work the 3rd shift schedule consistently and reliably
Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods (up to 50 lbs regularly)
Attention to detail and commitment to quality over speed
Welding certification (AWS or equivalent)
Experience with CNC or automated welding equipment
Familiarity with quality control tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles
