Design, develop, maintain, and optimize websites and web-based applications for reliable performance, responsive functionality, and positive user experience.
Collaborate with designers, software developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain website interfaces and front-end and back-end functionality.
- Integrate APIs, manage databases, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Optimize performance, mobile responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility; maintain clean, reusable, well-structured code.
- Test features, resolve bugs, implement security best practices, and support updates and deployments.
- Define technical requirements with cross-functional teams, evaluate development approaches, and improve existing systems.
- Ensure applications meet business and user needs.
- Maintain technical documentation, monitor application performance, manage version control, and improve web development standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of web development principles, website architecture, and application development practices.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; familiarity with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Knowledge of Node.js, PHP, Python, Java, or equivalent back-end technologies.
- Understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and web services.
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of website security, debugging, and software testing.
- Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail; communication and teamwork skills.
- Proactive mindset and interest in emerging web technologies, scalable applications, and continuous technical improvement.
