Role overview
Develop web applications used across Ubisoft studios, supporting resource management, project tracking, and data analytics.
Contribute across the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements and contribute to the design, development, and evolution of Compass platforms.
- Develop features using fullstack best practices and design, develop, and maintain secure, high-performing APIs.
- Collaborate with product team members, analysts, and developers to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Choose appropriate technologies and approaches, assess technical impacts, risks, and dependencies, and estimate development effort.
- Write scalable, maintainable, high-performance code; participate in code reviews, testing, and software quality improvement.
- Support, maintain, and document applications; analyze, optimize, split, or refactor features to improve performance and maintainability.
- Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to continuous improvement by staying current with relevant technology.
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Significant fullstack web development experience, including designing high-impact applications used at scale.
- Experience building APIs and web services, gathering requirements, and solving complex technical problems.
Required technical skills
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, C#, and ASP.NET Core.
- Strong knowledge of modern web application development and object-oriented design principles.
- Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and knowledge of practices that promote software quality, performance, and maintainability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Nice-to-have skills
- Knowledge of SQL or Node.js is an asset.
- Experience in an Agile development environment or with data analytics platforms or internal tools supporting multiple teams or organizations is an asset.
