Role Overview
Develop, maintain, test, and improve Edge Factor’s web applications, websites, and related digital platforms.
Translate business and user requirements into functional web-based solutions while supporting maintenance and new product development.
The position reports to the Operations Director and works with product, design, operations, client success, and technical contributors.
This is primarily a technical contributor role, not a senior management role.

Position purpose
Develop, maintain, test, and improve Edge Factor’s web applications, websites, and related digital platforms.
Translate business and user requirements into functional web-based solutions while supporting maintenance and new product development.

This is primarily a technical contributor role, not a senior management role.
Development and product work
- Write, modify, integrate, and test website-related code and web application interfaces.
- Build features, maintain functionality, debug issues, improve application logic, and support front-end and back-end development.
- Translate product requirements into technical tasks, estimate work, identify constraints, and support testing and release of product capabilities.
- Document technical changes and help maintain coding, testing, and development standards.
Architecture and reliability
- Contribute to application architecture and decisions about application structure, APIs, databases, integrations, user flows, and technical patterns.
- Monitor and maintain platform functionality, investigate bugs, analyze performance, resolve production issues, and improve response times and usability.
- Support architecture decisions that improve scalability, maintainability, performance, and user experience.
Cloud, DevOps, and security
- Support deployment pipelines, environment configuration, cloud-hosted services, monitoring, backups, build processes, and automation.
- Work with infrastructure providers to troubleshoot hosting issues and improve deployment reliability across development, staging, and production.
- Apply secure coding practices, assist with access control, address vulnerabilities, protect user and company data, and support privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Participate in security reviews, bug fixes, incident investigation, and improvements that reduce technical and data-protection risks.
Release and partner coordination
- Prepare and test code for release, support deployments, monitor releases, resolve post-release issues, document changes, and assist with rollback or correction plans.
- Coordinate releases with product, operations, and technical team members.
- Work with vendors, contractors, hosting providers, software platforms, and technology partners on technical information, integrations, and implementation needs.
- Recommend tools, purchases, hosting resources, or services and provide technical input on cost, suitability, security, performance, and operational value; final approval remains subject to internal processes.
Role scope and guidance
- The employee may provide technical guidance to junior developers, contractors, or external service providers, including work review, implementation support, onboarding, and standards guidance.
- Formal staff supervision, hiring, termination, and company-level management authority apply only if specifically assigned.
- The role contributes technical input to roadmap planning but is not primarily responsible for company-wide technology strategy.
Performance deliverables and time allocation
Deliver approved features and maintain websites and applications with reliable, tested, maintainable code.
Support successful integrations, improved performance and capacity, timely issue resolution, secure coding, releases, and clear technical documentation.
Work allocation: web development and maintenance 40%; troubleshooting and platform support 20%; integrations and database work 15%; testing, release, and deployment 10%.
