Job Description
We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Water Tanker Driver for light vehicles to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our water distribution operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of water to various locations throughout the city.
- Operate light water tanker vehicles to transport and deliver water to designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Follow established routes and schedules for water delivery
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance
- Operate water pumping equipment to fill and empty the tanker as required
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols while driving
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly
- Assist in basic vehicle maintenance tasks as needed
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the water tanker vehicle
Qualifications
- Valid light vehicle driving license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a water tanker driver or in a similar role preferred
- Thorough knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
- Proficiency in operating water tanker equipment and performing basic vehicle maintenance
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication abilities in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Physical capability to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and climbing
- Familiarity with water distribution systems and occupational health and safety practices preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
