About This Role

Position Overview

The WWTP Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of wastewater treatment facilities. This role involves monitoring control systems, performing routine plant operations, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor basic control systems and devices to track levels, temperatures, pressures, and flow rates.
• Manage plant operations including valve operation, material handling, and equipment isolation/clearing.
• Follow established operating procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient performance of assigned duties.
• Control, monitor, and adjust both automated systems and manually operated equipment as required.
• Troubleshoot process issues, product quality concerns, and safety/environmental problems; identify equipment requiring maintenance.
• Serve as a resource for other technicians, assisting with task execution and prioritization of work activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of all assigned tasks with a strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting hoses, bolting flanges, and operating valves as part of routine duties.
• Work effectively under UAE climate conditions.

Qualifications

• Diploma, technical certification, or graduate-level qualification.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel) with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts (8- or 12-hour duty).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,700.00 per month
