Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Locate stock and deliver requested items accurately and on time.
• Receive deliveries, verify them against documentation, and stock the supply room.
• Load and unload materials and products from delivery vehicles and storage areas.
• Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to established sequences.
• Move materials between receiving, production, and storage areas as needed.
• Use production schedules, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to identify materials for movement or distribution.
• Count inventory and identify reorder needs for supervisor approval.
• Check order forms, delivery requests, and approval forms for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Operate forklifts and other powered vehicles to move, stack, load, and unload materials, including elevated storage equipment where required.
• Maintain organized storage areas and follow safety, health, environmental, and company guidelines.

Qualifications and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic understanding of general aspects of the job.
• Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks accurately with attention to detail.
• Forklift or material-handling equipment certification, or ability to obtain certification if required.
• 0–1 year of general work experience.
