Role Overview
Oversee warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics coordination, and distribution activities.
Improve operational efficiency, control costs, maintain inventory accuracy and safety, and lead teams to achieve business objectives and service levels.
Warehouse Operations and People Leadership
- Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and order fulfillment.
- Improve productivity, efficiency, and service quality through operational strategies.
- Manage stocktaking, cycle counting, and inventory reconciliation.
- Optimize warehouse layout, storage, space utilization, and material flow.
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse managers, supervisors, and operational staff.
- Manage warehouse facilities, equipment, and resources to support uninterrupted operations.
Performance, Coordination, and Compliance
- Monitor productivity, order accuracy, delivery performance, KPIs, and operating costs.
- Develop budgets, control expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with procurement, sales, logistics, transportation, and suppliers.
- Implement and maintain WMS, inventory systems, and SOPs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, safety requirements, and security procedures.
- Identify risks, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement and operational expansion.
- Prepare reports, performance analyses, budgets, and forecasts for senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in supply chain management, logistics, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven warehouse, logistics, or supply-chain experience, including leadership experience.
- Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse processes, order fulfillment, and distribution.
- Experience with budgets, cost control, workforce planning, and operational improvement.
Systems and Candidate Skills
- Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, lead teams, and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Good written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
