Warehouse Forklift Operator

Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down, stand-up, reach-truck, and other forklifts safely to load, unload, stack, and move materials.
• Inspect equipment before use and report malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Receive and verify shipments against purchase orders and packing lists; pick and prepare accurate outgoing orders.
• Store materials in designated areas, perform cycle counts, and assist with physical inventory checks.
• Follow safety policies and PPE requirements, maintain a clean work area, communicate with colleagues, and support warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and proven forklift-operator experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Valid forklift certification, or ability to complete the employer's forklift training and certification program.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety; ability to read operating and safety documents and accurately count inventory.
• Able to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds; strong hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment, and work varied shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
