Warehouse First Line Manager

Here at GXO, we’re seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our Primark Thrapston site. You'll be at the heart of the operation, leading by example and motivating your team to deliver exceptional results. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you'll drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring performance targets are achieved through strong leadership and effective day-to-day management.

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work ‘any 5 from 7’, across our night shift, covering the hours of 22:00 till 06:00.

Lead teams to achieve and exceed KPIs while maintaining the highest standards of safety and product care

Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety standards, including 6S and housekeeping

Allocate daily work, manage headcount and overtime, and control costs against budget

Drive continuous improvement by reviewing processes, maintaining SOPs and eliminating waste

Engage colleagues on the shop floor, deliver accurate shift handovers, and maintain clear performance reporting

Previous management experience within a fast-paced or complex environment

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and use initiative

Flexible, detail-focused and professional approach to work
