Warehouse Assistant
About This Role
Job summary
Perform daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods to ensure accurate inventory control and timely order fulfillment.
Key responsibilities
Receive inbound shipments: unload, inspect, verify quantities and update receiving records.
Store goods in designated locations following FIFO/LIFO and safety procedures.
Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch; ensure correct labeling and documentation.
Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, forklift — if certified) and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
Conduct regular cycle counts, stock reconciliations and assist with full inventory audits.
Prepare shipping documents, coordinate with logistics/carriers and track shipments.
Report damaged or non-conforming items; initiate return or claims processes.
Follow health & safety rules and PPE requirements; participate in incident reporting and safety meetings.
Use WMS/ERP and handheld scanners to record transactions and maintain accurate records.
Required qualifications & skills
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/trade certificate preferred.
Previous warehouse or logistics experience (1+ year for general roles).
Forklift license preferred for operator roles.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with WMS or inventory systems.
Physical fitness, ability to lift up to employer’s specified limits, and work flexible shifts.
Attention to detail, teamwork and time-management skills.
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
