- Ensure guest satisfaction, promptly handling requests and complaints.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service.
- Manage the setup, cleanliness, and organization of the assigned section.
- Supervise and guide Commis Waiters/Assistant Waiters in their duties.
- Ensure table settings are correct and in line with restaurant standards.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to guarantee efficient service.
- Ensure smooth sequence of service from starter to dessert.
- Assist in stock control of service items (cutlery, glassware, linen).
- Maintain hygiene, health, and safety standards in the section.
- Participate in daily briefings and service training
For Waiter
Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
To set tables to laid-down standards, ensuring that all items used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair.
Ensure tables are clean, well-presented, and properly set before guests arrive.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling
To ensure sideboards on stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen or other established needs, be they food or equipment.
To be totally familiar with the composition of all menu items.
To serve food and beverages in accordance with laid-down standards, but above all in a professional, courteous manner.
To clean tables and ensure they are cleaned as soon as it is apparent that customers have finished their food or drink with an acceptable balance between speed, yet allowing customers to finish their meal without feeling rushed.
At all times to be aware of and practice good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way which does not adversely affect other customers.
