Guest service
- Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with menu selections and recommendations, and respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and special requests.
- Anticipate guest needs and resolve complaints or concerns professionally.
Orders and menu knowledge
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them to the appropriate tables promptly.
- Know menu ingredients and preparation methods, answer allergen questions, and stay informed about daily specials and promotions.
- Monitor tables and promptly remove used dishes and utensils.
Table service and payments
- Set, clean, and reset tables with utensils, glassware, and condiments.
- Process guest payments accurately and handle cash and card transactions securely using the POS system and company policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of financial transactions.
Teamwork
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth food and beverage service.
- Assist colleagues with running food, refilling drinks, or special events, and communicate with coworkers and management about service needs.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications and skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; friendly and approachable manner.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong organization.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift heavy trays.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn; good memory for orders and special requests.
- Basic education is essential for understanding written orders and performing simple math for bills and payments.
- Previous waiter or similar customer service experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
Work arrangement
- Full-time role with in-person work location.
