VP, Complex Program Lead

What you will do:

• Own complex program outcomes
• Take full accountability for the direction, performance and recovery of complex customer programs
• Make timely decisions on leadership, resources, priorities and corrective actions.Maintain ownership from initial assessment through sustained delivery improvement.
• Prevent and resolve critical issues
• Identify program risks early and intervene before they become executive escalations
• Lead recovery efforts when programs, transformations or customer accounts are at risk
• Diagnose root causes across delivery, technology, governance, commercial commitments and talent.
• Create an accurate view of program health
• Establish evidence-based assessments that show the actual condition of each program
• Test reported status against delivery milestones, dependencies, risks and customer outcomes
• Present clear recommendations, decisions and recovery progress to senior leaders.
• Strengthen delivery leadership
• Assess whether programs have the right complex program managers and project managers
• Build a reporting structure with clear responsibilities, decision rights and accountability
• Replace or redirect program leadership and resources when delivery outcomes require change.
• Partner with customers and technology leaders
• Work directly with CIOs and senior technology leaders during critical program decisions
• Coordinate application, cloud, consulting and hyperscaler stakeholders around achievable outcomes
• Build customer confidence through clear commitments, visible progress and consistent follow-through
• Improve long-term program performance
• Establish governance that supports early risk detection and practical decision-making
• Capture lessons from challenged programs and apply them across the program portfolio
• Balance immediate recovery activity with proactive planning and capability development
• Travel as needed
• Travel approximately 30 percent to support customers, teams and critical program activity

Who You Are

• Extensive experience leading and recovering large-scale, complex technology programs valued from $100 million to $1 billion
• Demonstrated success implementing complex application, cloud or technology transformation programs
• Experience taking full accountability for failing programs, executive escalations and at-risk customer accounts
• Experience making decisions about program leadership, resource deployment, delivery priorities and corrective actions
• Demonstrated ability to identify when reported program health does not reflect actual delivery conditions
• Experience engaging CIOs, senior technology leaders and executive stakeholders during high-impact decisions
• Experience working with major hyperscalers and coordinating multi-company delivery environments
• Current Project Management Professional certification
• Preferred skills and experience
• Experience building or leading complex program management and project management organizations
• Background spanning consulting, technology delivery and operational program leadership
• Experience gained across varied organizations rather than exclusively within a large professional services firm
• Demonstrated ability to create practical solutions in environments where structures are still developing
