Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced surgical procedures on abdominal organs, including digestive tract, liver, pancreas, and others
- Assess patient conditions through clinical evaluation and diagnostic tools to develop appropriate treatment plans
- Work closely with fellow specialists to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care
- Oversee pre-operative preparation and post-operative management to ensure patient safety and recovery
- Provide clear communication to patients and their families regarding treatment options and recovery expectations
- Maintain thorough medical records and surgical documentation
- Stay abreast of latest surgical advancements and integrate best practices into clinical work
Requirements
- Medical qualification with specialization in Visceral Surgery from a recognized institution
- Valid board certification in General Surgery plus specialization in Visceral Surgery
- Licensure to practice medicine in Abu Dhabi/UAE is mandatory or willingness to obtain
- Proven experience performing complex visceral surgery procedures
- In-depth knowledge of abdominal anatomy, surgical techniques, and patient management
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical decision-making skills
- Ability to function effectively in a high-pressure, multidisciplinary healthcare setting
