Role Description
The Owner role is a full-time, on-site position based in Split, responsible for the overall strategic direction, growth, and operational performance of Croatia Yachting.
This role oversees key business areas such as charter operations, yacht sales, dealership relations, and aftersales services, ensuring that the company maintains its market-leading position and service quality.
Day-to-day tasks include setting and monitoring business objectives, managing senior leaders, making investment and partnership decisions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
The Owner actively represents the company with key stakeholders, including yacht manufacturers, business partners, and major clients, while nurturing a high-performance, customer-centric culture across all offices.
The role also involves evaluating new market opportunities, driving process improvements, and safeguarding the company’s financial health and long-term stability.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience guiding senior teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Proven strategic planning, business development, and decision-making abilities, ideally within the nautical, tourism, or related industries.
- Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting financial reports to support sustainable growth.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing key partnerships, dealerships, and high-value client relationships.
- Knowledge of yacht charter operations, yacht sales processes, or marine industry standards is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Split, with readiness to travel along the Dalmatian coast and internationally as needed.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, management, economics, or a related field preferred; relevant entrepreneurial or executive experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Croatian and other European languages is an advantage.
