EXPERIENCE

  • AND EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree, MBA, or equivalent advanced education preferred.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressive accounting, controllership, or finance leadership experience, including leadership of multi-function accounting operations and people leaders.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred; active CPA, CMA, or equivalent technical accounting credential or demonstrated equivalent experience required.
  • Experience leading payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury/cash management, tax, purchasing, financial reporting, monthly close, and internal controls in a complex, multi-location environment.
  • Demonstrated experience strengthening internal controls, improving accounting processes, implementing scalable systems or workflows, and preparing organizations for audits, lender reporting, due diligence, financing, acquisition, or valuation processes.
  • Privately held company, hospitality, services, multi-site, private equity-backed, acquisition-oriented, or high-growth environment experience preferred.
  • Experience implementing, optimizing, or maintaining accounting, payroll, purchasing, ERP, reporting, and analytics systems; Workday software experience preferred.
  • OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent relationship, communication, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex accounting issues into clear business implications and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across multiple business units, shared services teams, remote teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong technical accounting, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Proven ability to lead change, standardize processes, improve controls, manage competing priorities, and deliver timely results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, financial reporting tools, and accounting, payroll, ERP, purchasing, and analytics systems used by the organization.

Preferred Qualifications
