Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures.
- Prepare theatre, instruments, and patients for surgery; monitor anaesthesia and recovery and report changes promptly.
- Care for hospitalised and post-operative patients, including prescribed fluids and medications.
- Collect samples, run in-house laboratory tests, and maintain accurate medical records and treatment sheets.
- Uphold hygiene, sterilisation, and infection-control standards; manage clinical supplies and stock.
- Communicate care instructions clearly and professionally to pet owners.
Essential requirements
- Veterinary degree (DVM / BVSc) or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on small-animal clinical experience.
- Proven surgical assistance and anaesthesia monitoring skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Calm, organised, reliable, professionally presented, and a genuine team player.
Highly regarded experience
- Previous UAE clinic experience.
- IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and blood sampling.
- Experience with digital X-ray and in-house lab analysers.
- Emergency or hospitalisation (ICU) experience.
- Familiarity with practice-management software such as ezyVet.
