Responsibilities
- Examine animals, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and provide preventive care, including vaccinations, parasite control, and wellness counseling.
- Interpret diagnostic tests; perform minor and major surgery; prescribe medication; and monitor recovery.
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and home-care instructions to pet guardians.
- Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff.
- Contribute to clinic protocols, follow ethical and regulatory standards, and support a compassionate clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Recognized DVM or equivalent degree and eligibility for veterinary licensure in the UAE.
- Expertise in small-animal general practice, diagnostics, and treatment planning.
- Clinical skills in surgery, anesthesia, pain management, and emergency or critical care.
- Strong communication, client education, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Experience in small-animal practice; busy urban clinic or hospital experience is an advantage.
- Commitment to continuing education and current veterinary practice.
