About This Role

Role Overview

The Venture Capital Managing Partner will lead the overall strategy, fundraising, and operations of the fund while owning final accountability for investment decisions and portfolio performance. The role combines capital raising, firm leadership, and hands‑on support for portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities

Fund strategy & leadership

• Define and refine the fund’s investment thesis, sector focus, and portfolio construction strategy.
• Set long‑term vision, goals, and KPIs for the firm and its funds.
• Chair the investment committee and hold final decision‑making authority on investments and exits.
• Establish and maintain robust governance, risk management, and compliance practices.

Fundraising & LP relations

• Build and manage deep relationships with existing and prospective Limited Partners (LPs).
• Oversee regular investor reporting, including fund performance, pipeline, and portfolio updates.
• Represent the fund at conferences, industry events, and media engagements.

Deal sourcing & execution

• Originate high‑quality deal flow through networks, ecosystem presence, and partnerships.
• Oversee evaluation of opportunities, including market analysis, financial modeling, and due diligence.
• Negotiate term sheets and key transaction documents in collaboration with legal and advisors.
• Approve investment structures, ownership targets, and follow‑on capital deployment.

Portfolio value creation

• Serve as board member or board observer for selected portfolio companies.
• Act as strategic partner to founders on product, go‑to‑market, hiring, and fundraising.
• Support portfolio companies with access to networks, customers, co‑investors, and talent.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risk, and capital needs; drive decisions on follow‑ons and exits.

Team management & operations

• Build, lead, and mentor the investment and operations team (analysts, associates, principals, operating partners).
• Shape the firm’s culture, performance standards, and incentive structures.
• Oversee the management company budget, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, private equity, or closely related investing roles.
• Demonstrated success in fundraising and managing relationships with sophisticated investors.
• Deep understanding of venture financing structures, cap tables, and governance best practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Advanced degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or related field preferred;

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: AED844,800.00 per year
