Overview
The Venture Capital Director is responsible for managing venture capital investment activities, supporting portfolio growth, identifying investment opportunities, and contributing to strategic investment initiatives.
The role focuses on driving investment performance, supporting deal execution, and maintaining strong relationships within the startup ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing, evaluation, and execution of venture capital investment opportunities.
- Conduct market research, financial analysis, and commercial due diligence activities.
- Support investment structuring, negotiations, and transaction execution processes.
- Manage relationships with founders, investors, startups, and ecosystem partners.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives.
- Prepare investment memos, reports, and presentations for leadership and investment committees.
- Identify emerging trends, sectors, and opportunities within the innovation ecosystem.
- Support strategic partnerships, accelerator initiatives, and ecosystem engagement activities.
- Contribute to fundraising and investment strategy discussions where applicable.
- Lead and mentor junior investment team members.
Requirements
- ****Requirements****
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- 8-14+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or investment advisory.
- Strong experience in investment evaluation, due diligence, and portfolio management.
- Good understanding of startup ecosystems and innovation trends.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capability.
- Experience working with startups, accelerators, or innovation programs is a plus.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
- Candidate must hold Saudi nationality.
