Job Summary
4x4 Center is seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager specializing in 4x4 off-road and four-wheel-drive vehicle maintenance. The role involves leading and managing the daily operational activities across all branches and service centers in the Kingdom, with a focus on raising operational efficiency, achieving profitability, enhancing the customer experience, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and operational performance standards.
The candidate will be directly responsible for managing the full work cycle within the workshops — from vehicle reception to final delivery to the customer — in addition to managing technical and operational teams, controlling costs, improving operational performance, and developing procedures and operational policies that ensure the achievement of the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Full oversight of workshop operations from vehicle reception through final customer delivery.
- Manage and operate workshops and 4x4 maintenance centers; monitor daily performance of branches and operational teams.
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly operational plans and ensure their efficient execution.
- Manage technical teams (mechanics, technicians, workers, supervisors); assign tasks and track productivity.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop continuous improvement plans.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all operational and technical processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, occupational safety, and technical regulations across all operations.
- Oversee the quality of 4x4 maintenance and repair work and ensure adherence to approved technical standards.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address complaints and operational issues effectively and promptly.
- Manage spare parts and inventory; coordinate with the procurement department to ensure operational needs are met.
- Ensure diagnostic equipment and tools are ready and follow up on their periodic maintenance.
- Monitor operational costs; improve resource utilization efficiency and minimize waste.
- Prepare and submit periodic operational reports to senior management; analyze performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Lead training and development programs for technicians and operational staff to raise their technical and managerial capabilities.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and customer service departments to achieve revenue targets and improve customer experience.
- Manage supplier and vendor relationships; participate in negotiating contracts and operational service agreements.
- Plan workshop capacity and contribute to expansion and operational development decisions.
- Ensure compliance with all approved operational and organizational regulations and applicable laws.
& Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the automotive maintenance sector, including at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing a full-service 4x4 workshop or multiple service centers.
- Proficiency in reading diagnostic reports and understanding electronic vehicle systems.
- Strong leadership and high-level team management skills.
- Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and workshop management software.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic; working knowledge of English.
Preferred Skills
- Holding accredited professional certifications (ASE, IMI, or equivalent).
- Experience with 4x4 off-road vehicles, SUVs, and sports vehicles.
- Experience with ERP systems or workshop and maintenance management software.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience in after-sales services and quality assurance programs.
Work Environment
A combined field and administrative work environment that includes direct on-site supervision of the workshop alongside managerial duties.
The candidate is expected to be available during peak hours and according to operational needs, and must be willing to travel across the Kingdom to visit and follow up on all branches.
