About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- **VAT Compliance**
- Oversee preparation, review, and timely filing of VAT returns in line with UAE regulations
- Manage and respond to queries from the Federal Tax Authority (FTA)
- **Tax Planning & Strategy**
- Develop and implement VAT strategies to optimize client positions and minimize risk
- Analyse complex transactions and provide practical advisory support
- **VAT Audit & Dispute Support**
- Lead VAT audits, assessments, and FTA inquiries
- Prepare documentation, responses, and represent clients in discussions with authorities
- **Broader Indirect Tax Advisory**
- Provide guidance on VAT, Excise Tax, and E-Invoicing, including digital tax developments (e.g., Peppol/PINT)
- Support clients across UAE and wider GCC tax frameworks
- **Client Leadership**
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing senior stakeholder relationships
- Deliver workshops, presentations, and practical tax insights
- **Business Development**
- Support growth initiatives through proposals, client engagement, and identifying new opportunities
- Contribute to thought leadership and market visibility
- **Regulatory & Market Insight**
- Stay updated on UAE and GCC tax regulations and FTA guidance
- Translate regulatory changes into actionable insights for clients and internal teams
Requirements
- **3–5 years of UAE experience in VAT / indirect tax**
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and compliance framework
- Hands-on experience with FTA procedures and audits
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA)
- **Preferable: Registered UAE Tax Agent**
