Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and reliable transportation to Agency clients and the general public as requested. Ensure passengers observe safety procedures.
  • Provide assistance to riders entering and exiting the vehicle; operate wheelchair lift when necessary.
  • Plan route to ensure the most economical use of time and equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. Document results to assist with lifecycle management of the fleet.
  • Clean equipment as time permits.
  • Document vehicle usage on trip log daily.
  • Maintain and advance knowledge and skills related specifically to position or to field of work through regular review of pertinent materials or participation in training events as approved by supervisor.
  • Adhere to the standards, policies and instructions established by PMHS Policy and Procedure and any applicable ethical codes within field of employment.
  • Review and comply with the Pawnee Code of Conduct outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Maintenance Specialist Only
  • 10. Assist the Transportation Team Leader with the basic vehicle maintenance to ensure vehicles are mechanically sound and can be operated in a safe manner.
  • Requirements

Qualifications

  • Required :
  • Valid Kansas Driver’s License and automobile liability insurance maintained in accordance with Pawnee policy and procedure.
  • 4+ years of independent driving experience.
  • Oral and written communication skills using the English language.
  • Preferred :
  • Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
  • Public transportation experience.
  • Salary Description
  • $16.44 an hour
