Role overview

Responsibilities

• Govern major engineering programmes against performance, cost, quality, schedule and business objectives throughout the product lifecycle.
• Act as senior programme interface for customers, partners, suppliers and executive stakeholders.
• Align technical, industrial and commercial objectives through programme delivery strategies.
• Drive milestones, non-recurring and recurring cost targets, and risk reduction.
• Lead multi-site, cross-functional teams spanning engineering, industrialisation, procurement, quality and supply chain.
• Lead programme reviews, steering committees and decision forums; provide recommendations and escalation paths.
• Oversee risks, opportunities and change management, and promote continuous improvement and programme-management best practices.

What you’ll bring

• Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical degree, or significant equivalent experience.
• Extensive leadership of large-scale engineering development programmes in aerospace, defence or another highly regulated industry.
• Track record delivering complex programmes to demanding cost, schedule, technical performance and quality targets.
• Strategic-level executive stakeholder and customer relationship management experience.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
• Advanced knowledge of programme methodologies, governance, risk management and change control.

• The role is described as hybrid and based in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire.
