About This Role
Overview
Responsible for doing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for all utilities systems, including thermal oil and steam boilers, air compressors, and the ETP plant.
Supports external contractors during maintenance work and makes sure all jobs are done safely and correctly.
Handles plumbing and infrastructure work inside the factory when needed.
Writes the daily utilities report, checks and records compressor readings, makes daily boiler water tests, and records daily water consumption.
Works with the responsible engineer to follow up on spare parts in the warehouse and keep all utilities running smoothly.
• Utilities Operation & Maintenance
- Operate and maintain boilers, air compressors, thermal oil heaters, and other utility systems.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical and electrical issues on utilities equipment.
• Water & Water Treatment
- Operate and maintain water filtration units, softeners, and wastewater treatment systems (ETP/STP).
- Monitor and record daily water consumption and system performance.
- Ensure proper chemical dosing and compliance with water quality standards.
• Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).
- Comply with GMP and Food Safety Standards (GMP, BRC, HALAL, HACCP).
- Always maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Documentation & Teamwork
- Record maintenance activities, readings, and spare parts usage.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Academic and professional qualifications:
technical Diploma (Industrial Secondary School) – Mechanical or electrical Maintenance.
Experience
- Must have experience in FMCG or Food Manufacturing environment, with good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
- 8-10 years in utilities maintenance (boilers, compressors, thermal oil heater, and ETP)
- Experience in FMCG/Food Manufacturing is mandatory
