Role Description
The Utilities Operations Manager is a part-time role based in Abu Dhabi with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility.
The role focuses on overseeing the daily operations of utility services (such as electricity, water, and related infrastructure) to ensure reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities include monitoring utility performance, coordinating routine maintenance, managing service providers, and responding to operational issues or outages.
The Utilities Operations Manager will analyze consumption data, identify opportunities for optimization, and implement improvements aligned with regulatory and safety requirements.
The role also involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, preparing regular reports, and contributing to budgets and long-term utility management plans.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in utilities operations management, facility management, or infrastructure services, ideally within a corporate or financial services environment.
- Strong skills in analyzing utility consumption data, preparing operational reports, and using basic analytics or reporting tools to support decision-making.
- Knowledge of relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards related to utilities and building services in the UAE.
- Proven ability to coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to ensure timely maintenance, issue resolution, and service continuity.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a part-time, hybrid setting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, utilities management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with energy efficiency initiatives, sustainability practices, or cost-optimization projects in utilities is a plus.
