Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a UI Engineer to work on a contractor basis.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain user interfaces that directly support the training and evaluation of next-generation AI systems across domains such as finance, healthcare, and engineering.

Your work will contribute to high-quality, real-world input that shapes how AI models learn, reason, and perform.

The opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong front-end expertise who are passionate about building scalable, user-centric interfaces in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable UI components using React and TypeScript to enhance the platform's front-end capabilities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver seamless, user-centric solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Translate complex technical and business requirements into elegant, responsive, and accessible user interfaces optimized for performance and usability.
  • Champion best practices in UI design, code quality, and performance optimization throughout the development lifecycle, including conducting thorough code reviews.
  • Proactively identify and resolve UI/UX issues to continuously improve the product’s quality and usability for global users.
  • Mentor peers on front-end engineering standards and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in front-end development with a strong focus on React and TypeScript, including component-based architecture and state management.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind CSS, Material-UI) with a strong emphasis on responsive and accessible design.
  • Experience translating wireframes and design mockups into functional, pixel-perfect implementations using tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
  • Solid understanding of front-end performance optimization techniques, including bundle analysis, code splitting, and lazy loading.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development workflows in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, async-first environment with clear communication and documentation practices.
  • Prior experience in AI, machine learning, or data labeling is not required — domain expertise in front-end development is the primary focus.
