Urology Registrar

Urology Registrar (OPD – Outpatient Department)
is responsible for providing comprehensive urological care in the outpatient setting in accordance with
SCFHS clinical privileges, MOH regulations, and CBAHI accreditation standards
.
The role involves evaluating patients with urological conditions, initiating treatment plans, performing minor procedures when applicable, and coordinating care with senior consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive
- urological consultations and patient assessments
- in the outpatient department
- Diagnose and manage common urological conditions including
- urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate disorders, and urinary incontinence
- Evaluate and manage
- male reproductive health conditions
- such as erectile dysfunction and infertility
- Order and interpret diagnostic investigations including
- laboratory tests, ultrasound, and imaging studies
- Perform
- minor urological procedures
- within OPD scope of practice when applicable
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessment and diagnostic findings
- Provide
- patient education
- regarding disease prevention, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate and timely
- clinical documentation
- according to hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with
- infection control policies and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary healthcare teams for patient management
- Participate in
- quality improvement initiatives and continuing professional development
