- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and basic cooking duties under supervision.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and properly storing food.
- Efficiently manage inventory by stocking ingredients, rotating stock, and reporting low supplies to the kitchen manager.
- Adhere strictly to food safety regulations and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe dining experience.
- Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately, maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, communicating clearly and promptly to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Perform routine cleaning of kitchen floors, walls, and ventilation systems to uphold a high standard of hygiene.
