Job Description
The UPS Sales Engineer / Technician is responsible for both technical support and sales activities related to UPS systems and power solutions.
The role includes promoting UPS products, preparing technical proposals, supporting clients with system selection, and ensuring proper installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UPS systems.
Sales & Business Development
- Promote and sell UPS systems and related power solutions
- Identify customer requirements and provide suitable technical solutions
- Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and BOQs
- Follow up on leads, inquiries, and existing customers
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Support tenders and project submissions
Technical Support (UPS Systems Only)
- Install, test, and commission UPS systems
- Provide technical support during pre-sales and after-sales stages
- Assist clients in selecting the correct UPS capacity and configuration
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventive maintenance on UPS systems and batteries
- Diagnose and repair UPS faults and alarms
- Replace defective components such as batteries, fans, and power modules
- Ensure UPS systems operate efficiently and reliably
Customer Support
- Provide technical guidance to customers on UPS usage
- Handle customer complaints and technical issues professionally
- Build strong long-term customer relationships
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain records of sales activities and technical service reports
- Prepare visit reports and installation documentation
- Report market feedback and competitor activity
Safety & Compliance
- Follow electrical safety standards and company procedures
- Ensure safe handling of UPS systems and batteries
- Maintain clean and safe working conditions
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in UPS systems (technical or sales role)
- Strong knowledge of UPS operation, batteries, and power systems
- Experience in technical sales or B2B electrical products is an advantage
- Ability to read technical drawings and datasheets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English and Hindi (Arabic is a plus)
- UAE experience is preferred
