Unix System Administrator
About This Role
Diagnose and resolve system issues reported by users or identified through monitoring tools.
Fulfill service requests and ensure timely resolution within defined SLAs.
Administer privileged user accounts and manage file and filesystem permissions as per policies.
Perform OS hardening and ensure compliance with security standards.
Monitor system performance, including CPU, memory, storage, and overall health.
Apply OS patches and perform system upgrades following change management processes.
Support system changes, migrations, onboarding, and offboarding activities.
Coordinate with internal teams, customers, and vendors for issue resolution.
Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and service performance reports.
Manage local users and filesystems, and automate routine tasks where possible.
