Program Overview

Role Activities

• Work on a defined challenge project and develop an innovative solution for a customer problem.
• Conduct research and write software using relevant programming and technical skills.
• Collaborate with teammates while also working independently when appropriate.
• Produce technical documentation and design artifacts.
• Present the team’s solution and recommended approach at the end of the program.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with one or more programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Assembly, Python, Perl, R, or Bash.
• Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms in an academic or internship environment.
• Experience conducting research and writing software.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and create design artifacts.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Scheduled to earn a bachelor’s degree in a technology, engineering, or mathematics field by Summer 2028 or Summer 2029.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation

• The projected compensation range is $53,000 to $108,000 annualized USD.
• Compensation depends on location, education, skills, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.
