The Opportunity

The Summer Games is a competitive internship program for students developing breakthrough solutions to complex customer problems.

Interns work in teams in a startup accelerator-style environment and receive mentorship from senior leaders.

The program culminates in a final Challenge Cup competition and presentation to senior leadership.

Program Activities

  • Develop software and technical solutions for assigned challenge projects.
  • Collaborate with teammates to solve multidimensional real-world problems.
  • Leverage Booz Allen products and engagement models in project work.
  • Receive mentorship and participate in a collaborative team environment.
  • Present the completed solution to senior leadership.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Experience with at least one listed programming language, including Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Assembly, Python, Perl, R, or Bash.
  • Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms in an academic or internship environment.
  • Experience conducting research and writing software.
  • Ability to produce technical documentation and create design artifacts.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics by Summer 2028 or Summer 2029.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred.

Compensation

  • The projected compensation range is $53,000 to $108,000 annualized in USD.
  • Compensation depends on location, education, knowledge, skills, experience, competencies, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.

Work Model
