Program Overview

Role Activities

• Develop a software-based idea or solution for an assigned customer challenge.
• Use research, software development, and collaboration to address complex and multidimensional problems.
• Present the completed challenge project to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with programming languages including Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Assembly, Python, Perl, R, or Bash.
• Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms in an academic or internship environment.
• Experience conducting research and writing software.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and create design artifacts.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Scheduled to obtain a bachelor's degree in a technology, engineering, or mathematics field by Summer 2028 or Summer 2029.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills are preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred.

Compensation

• The projected compensation range is $53,000 to $108,000 annualized USD.
• Compensation depends on location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.
