Qualifications

• Knowledge of the commercial insurance industry and casualty underwriting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to identify and evaluate risk exposures, hazards, controls, and loss trends.
• Ability to analyze claims information and quantify loss exposure.
• Understanding of financial statements and financial ratios used in risk analysis.
• Understanding of actuarial concepts, including loss development, loss trends, and ratemaking.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, negotiation, and marketing skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build productive relationships with brokers, clients, and internal business partners.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage work with limited direction.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and applicable underwriting systems.
• The pay range for the role is $82,000 - $118,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
