Underground Mining Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery of underground mining studies, technical assessments, and project work across a variety of commodities and mining methods. Assist with mine design, mine planning, production scheduling, and equipment selection activities. Provide technical input into underground mining operations, mobile equipment, materials handling systems, and mine infrastructure. Support feasibility studies, trade-off assessments, and engineering evaluations to identify practical and cost-effective solutions. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project documentation to support study and project deliverables. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mining solutions into broader project outcomes. Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality technical outcomes. Promote a strong commitment to health, safety, sustainability, and risk management throughout all stages of project delivery. About You: Degree-qualified in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience working within underground mining environments with a sound understanding of underground mining operations. Knowledge of underground mining equipment, mine infrastructure, maintenance practices, or operational improvement initiatives. Experience contributing to mining studies, technical evaluations, project delivery, or operational support activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical and value-driven solutions. Effect;;ive communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
