  • Experience in transport planning within UK road freight
  • Strong knowledge of Drivers’ Hours, WTD, and general transport compliance
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions
  • Excellent communication skills with drivers, customers, and internal teams
  • Competent with transport planning systems, telematics, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the UK road network
  • Experience with pallet networks, groupage, full loads, or multi‐drop operations
  • Calm, organised, and solutions‐focused
  • Confident decision‐maker with strong attention to detail
  • Fair, consistent, and able to build trust with drivers
  • Commercially aware and cost‐conscious
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Min 1 year experience in planning UK domestic trips
  • Qualifications
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade 4 and above (or equivalent)
