Role overview

Duties and responsibilities

• Prepare tranches for submission to funders and document new funding tranches in the ledger.
• Review incoming and outgoing payments and financial transactions for accuracy.
• Manage timely funder payments and submit borrowing requests.
• Produce monthly compliance reporting and regular reports to funders.
• Analyze cash flow processes and suggest improvements.
• Support tranche and funder audits.
• Keep organizational information confidential and perform other assigned accounting duties.

Skills, knowledge, and experience

• Relevant university degree or college diploma combined with two years of work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, policies, procedures, and budgeting methods.
• Ability to produce and manage daily management reporting requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; detail-oriented with excellent organization and follow-up.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, work independently, and use sound judgment with minimal direction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of Great Plains is an asset.
• Demonstrated interest in learning and improving financial reporting timeliness and efficiency.
