The role focuses on treasury operations, cash flow management, payment processing, and banking activities.
Payments and cash management
- Process domestic and international payments accurately and on time; verify requests against approved documents and authorization limits; maintain transaction records.
- Verify supplier bank details according to the supplier verification policy in the SOP.
- Fund the company card as operations require and manage and reconcile head-office petty cash.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts; monitor cash balances and optimize liquidity.
- Maintain the post-dated cheque register and address potential cash shortages or surpluses proactively.
- Manage bank relationships and negotiate favourable terms.
Banking, reporting, and controls
- Maintain updated KYC documentation for bank accounts and coordinate with relationship managers to resolve banking issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Prepare regular reports on cash positions, bank balances, and payment activity; provide accurate, timely information to management.
- Identify fraud and operational risks and implement controls to protect company assets.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of bank balances, payment information, company documents, and other sensitive financial data.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- At least 1–2 years of UAE experience in a similar role is required; hospitality experience is ideal.
- ACCA or CA qualifications are advantageous.
- The role calls for attention to detail, knowledge of financial principles, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
