The role oversees company cash flow, payments, and banking relationships and requires financial knowledge, attention to detail, and efficiency under pressure.
Payments and cash management
- Process domestic and international payments accurately and on time; verify supporting documents and authorization limits and maintain transaction records.
- Verify supplier bank details according to the supplier verification policy in the SOP.
- Fund company cards based on operational requirements and manage and reconcile head office petty cash.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts; monitor balances and optimize liquidity.
- Maintain the post-dated cheques register and take action on potential cash shortages or surpluses.
Banking, reporting, and controls
- Manage bank relationships and negotiate favourable terms.
- Maintain KYC documentation for bank accounts and coordinate with relationship managers to resolve banking issues or inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Report cash positions, bank balances, and payment activity; provide timely, accurate financial information to management.
- Identify fraud and operational risks and implement controls to protect company assets.
- Keep bank balances, payment information, company documents, and other sensitive financial data confidential.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- At least 1–2 years of UAE experience in a similar role is required; hospitality experience is preferred.
- ACCA or CA qualifications are advantageous.
