Role overview
Supervise fleet operations for an industrial steel processing and trading division.
Coordinate heavy trucks and trailers delivering steel to construction sites, ports, and clients across the region.
Pay starts at AED 5,000 per month. The work location is in person.
Fleet operations
- Coordinate daily dispatches for heavy trucks and trailers to maximize utilization and ensure timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with legal weight limits, steel-cargo securing protocols, and local transport authority guidelines.
- Supervise and evaluate drivers and enforce road-safety, driving-hours, and company policies.
- Plan preventive maintenance and coordinate emergency repairs and breakdowns.
- Optimize routes for heavy-vehicle restrictions, timings, and tolls.
- Track and renew vehicle registrations, transport permits, gate passes, fuel logs, and trip reports.
Experience and qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on transport or fleet supervisor experience handling heavy trucks and trailers, including articulated or flatbed trucks.
- Steel manufacturing, building materials, or heavy industrial experience is highly preferred.
- Understand heavy payload dynamics, industrial steel-cargo securing, and heavy-vehicle regulations.
- Fluent English is required; Hindi, Urdu, or Malayalam is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Excel and modern GPS fleet-tracking or telematics software.
- Know UAE industrial transport zones, heavy-vehicle routes, and port regulations.
